You want tropical, this is tropical. Hey it's a palm. Flat fronds with ends hanging down.
Landscape Uses:
Soften corners of house, stays in scale. Gets 30-35' tall. Slow growing so it can seem like a shrub for 10-15 years.
Maintenance:
Cut dead or brown fronds off.

The Landscape Renovators' Special Notes:
I use this plant in place of Washington Palms. Washington pals get 60-80' tall and will shortly out grow a two story house. Spend a little more at first and keep the Chinese Palm a whole lot longer.
