Plant Name:
Cassia
Latin Name:
Cassia
Plant Type:
Tree Shrub
Required Lighting:
Full Sunlight
Ornamental Characteristics:
Yellow flowers all of the time...well maybe not all of the time but it seems that way.
Landscape Uses:
Butterflies love this plant. Great small tree 12-18' tall. Compound leaves give it a lacy look.
Maintenance:
In shrub form prune 2-3 times per year to keep thick, tree form not much maintenance.

The Landscape Renovators' Special Notes:
I use the fistula variety. Seems to be the hardiest. Other varieties can freeze and not come back. If you like the Tabebuia you'll love this one. More blooms, buterflies...what can I say!!
