Plant Name:
Red Ti
Latin Name:
Cordyline fruticosa
Plant Type:
Shrub
Required Lighting:
Partial Sunlight Shade
Ornamental Characteristics:
Upright soft foliage with lots of red colors. Looks like a corn plant with color.
Landscape Uses:
Plant in clusters to create colorful tropical focal points. 3-6' tall and narrow.
Maintenance:
OK, most of my customers like this plant except for the fact that it gets 'leggy'. Use in clusters and prune every third 'trunk' back to 6-12' off ground. It will give you a layered look and keep this plant from getting too 'leggy'.

The Landscape Renovators' Special Notes:
Plant something in front of the Red Ti like Agapanthus or Xanadu. This will anchor the plant and remember plant in clusters. This practically eliminates the 'leggy' look. Also there is a lot of varieties, use them all!!
